Just an update from the North pole, Donner has a bit of a cold but don't worry about as thing, the Doctor is taking good care of Donner and should be flying around again shortly. We have had a lot of letters coming in to Santa this year and Santa loves hearing from everyone. Santa will continue to accept letters all the way up until Christmas Eve, so if you haven't written Santa yet, you still have time. Santa took a test flight with the sleigh the other night and everything is working as expected and will be loaded with toys soon!
Check back soon on how to track Santa with his friends from NORAD.

The 2011 Reindeer Games are well underway and the competition is heating up! Yesterday, the eight tiny reindeer competed in the agility course. This mile and a half course involves leaping and running through a maze of tunnels and towering platforms, across all sorts of terrain, including: steep hills, slick down slopes, and sharp curves. First place went to Vixen and second belonged to Comet. The competition between these two deer has been fairly strong.
In the second competition, the speed races, the places were reversed; Comet took first, followed closely by Vixen. This race involves fast speeds through hoops and other obstacles. First and second was separated by only one second.
There is a brief intermission in the games, but the next event is the ice race and this year's games will conclude with the leap test. Prancer is a favorite, but we will just have to wait and see. We do have one injury update: during the agility course, Dasher injured his right front leg, but doctors say that it is not serious and have recommended complete rest. Dasher is suspended from further activity pending the doctor's clearance. Dasher is expected to be well by Christmas.
Public notice: whoever removed the decorations from the outside trees, the joke is up. We all had a laugh, but it is time to return the lights and ornaments. We suspect that the penguins were behind this, but there is no evidence to substantiate this claim. Penguins, were watching you
In other news, this year's Poinsettia's are absolutely stunning! Mrs. Claus has put them everywhere: on the tables, near the fire place, in the windows, absolutely everywhere! The whites and pink varieties are popular, but are nothing compared to the classic red ones. The vibrant red is even more beautiful than previous years and Mrs. Claus would like to send a heartfelt thank you to all the farmers and growers that supplied this yearŐs Poinsettia crop. Keep of the good work!
That's all the updates we have from the North Pole Herald, check back later for more news.

The Elves don't want to give away any secrets, they do insist that this years toys are brilliantly engineered and are sure to be a "hit" with the children this year. And there are a lot of toys to make, because children have been really well behaved. However, it is early and children need to remember that Santa checks his list twice, so don't misbehave or Santa will find out!
Santa and Mrs. Claus are watching out for a winter snow storm that is coming there way, stay posted

Santa and Mrs. Claus making an appearance.

Mrs. Claus has been baking up a storm! Mostly the traditional favorites, such as peanut butter and chocolate chip cookies, but she isn't against trying something different. This year she is trying a new recipe, the secret ingredient is white chocolate chips, but don't tell her I told you. Mrs. Claus insists that it makes the cookies even "Sweeter" and is excited to pass them out to the Elves and Santa for their approval!
